Mysuru: Kannada Sahitya Kala Koota and Kalpavruksha Trust had organised a function at Institution of Engineers on JLB Road here on recently for the release of the Hindi version of the epic Mahaveera Mahadarshana of Dr. Latha Rajashekar.
Releasing the book, Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. Vidyashankar opined that the thoughts of Jain Theerthankaras depicted in the epic were invaluable and eternally valid for society.
He hailed the contribution of Dr. Latha in upholding the supremacy of epics and their long lasting relevance.
Littérateur Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar said that translation of any work helps knowledge to reach more people and added that literature should not have linguistic barriers.
SDM Women’s College’s Sanskrit HoD Dr. Nittur Devendra Kumar, Jainology Scholar Shuba Chandra, Jainology Study Centre District President N. Prasanna Kumar, Bharatiya Jain Milan Vice-President Sheela Annatharaj, Hindi Scholar Dr. S. Thippeswamy, Poetess Dr. Latha Rajashekar, Kala Koota President M. Chandrashekar and Kalpavruksha Trust President Dr. H.B. Rajashekar were present.
