17th anniversary celebrations, Dr. Sarvamangala Shankar, Vice-Chancellor of  KSGH Music and Performing Arts University, inaugurates, conferring of ‘DVG Muktaka Sahitya Award-2016’ on renowned scholar, former Professor of Udupi MGM College and Muktaka poet Dr. Uppangala Ramabhatta of Udupi, felicitation to achievers in various fields — Dr. Dharanidevi Malagatti (KPA Dy. Director); K. Raghuram (Social worker); S. Thippeswamy (Photographer); A.S. Satish (Engineer) and Kripa Phadke (Bharatanatyam artiste), Muktaka book titled ‘Muktaka Geethamritha,’ authored by  M. Muttaswamy, will be released by Vid. G.N. Bhatta, a scholar, writer and critic, album titled ‘Chitrasaalad’ and CDs produced by S. Ramaprasad, a Science writer, photoartist and President of the Academy, will be released by journalist Amshi Prasannakumar, Vidu. Subha Raghavendra and her troupe will render DVG’s Muktakas (Kagga), Sri Vasudevacharya Bhavan, Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, 5.30 pm.
