Mysore/Mysuru: A three-day Kisan Swaraj Sammelan (KSS) will be held from Nov. 11 to 13 at Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) premises in Mysuru, said Krishna Prasad, Director, Sahaja Samrudha.
Addressing press persons at Pathrakartara Bhavan on Friday, he said the conference is being organised by Alliance for Sustainable & Holistic Agriculture (ASHA-Kisan Swaraj network) along with Sahaja Samrudha, Janapada Sewa Trust, ICAR-JSS KVK (Suttur), SOIL, Allama Research and Cultural Foundation, Desi Seed Producer Company Ltd., and Belavala Foundation in collaboration with KSOU. The conference will feature seed mela, food festival, plenaries and lectures, urban gardening workshops, roots and tubers display, desi cotton pavillion, film screening and organic farm visits. Environment experts will take part in the conference, said Krishna Prasad.
Disclosing that more than 1,500 farmers from over 15 States will participate in this mega conference, he said that the main purpose of the meet is to bring all the problems that are being faced by the farmers and the isolated stable solutions that have been found out by the farming community, under a single platform.
