Man found dead in drain

June 27, 2018

Mysuru: A 30-year-old man was found dead in an open drain at Devayyanahundi in the outskirts of the city this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Ravichandra (30), son of late Papanna of Devayyanahundi.

The body of Ramachandra, a painter by profession, was found at the drain close to the BCM Hostel at Devayyanahundi.

Although passersby initially suspected it to be a case of murder, it was later presumed that Ravichandra, an alcoholic, may have fallen into the drain late last night and died. Also, no injury marks were found on the body, it is learnt.

Jurisdictional Ashokapuram Police, who visited the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary.
