Sri Nataraja Performing Arts Centre is organising ‘Manjira Mahotsava’ from Jan. 29 to 31 at Rama Govinda Kala Vedike, Ganabharathi premises, Kuvempunagar in city.
Addressing a press conference at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city yesterday, Managing Trustee M.B. Nagashree said that ‘Manjira Mahotsava’ will be inaugurated on Jan.29 by University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Lokanath at 5.45 pm.
Joint Director of Kannada and Culture Department V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy, President of Sri Nataraja Performing Arts Centre M.K. Balaraju and Director of Nrityagiri Performing Arts and Research Centre Dr. Kripa Phadke will be the chief guests.
Sindhu Kiran, an exponent of Odissi dance, will be felicitated at the function. After the stage programme, at 6 pm city’s noted Bharatanatyam Dancer Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy will present a dance programme. At 7.30 pm, Director of Rudra Nritya Yogashaale Vidushi Sindhu Kiran will present an Odissi dance.
On Jan. 30 at 6 pm, Vidwan N. Srikanth and Vidushi Ashwati V. Nayar will present a Bharatanatyam and at 7.30 pm, Vidushi Aditi Ashok and Vidushi Spoorthi Ashok will present Kathak.
On Jan.31 at 6 pm, Vidwan Satyanarayanaraju and at 7.30 pm, Vidushi Rachini Kallur will perform Bharatanatyam.
