Mysuru: The 10-day Soap Mela, organised by the State-run Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Ltd. (KSDL) as part of Dasara festivities at the Institution of Engineers on JLB road, seems to be a huge hit, as people thronged the venue soon after the inauguration yesterday morning.
Area Corporator Balu inaugurated the Mela in the absence of District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa. However, the Minister visited the expo later in the afternoon.
About 38 products manufactured by KSDL are on exhibition-cum-sale, where the products are sold with a discounted rate upto 10 percent. The products include KSDL’s branded premium soaps, popular soaps, herbal handwash, baby soap, sandal soap, body wash, washing bar soaps, detergent cakes and powder, advanced liquid detergents, cosmetics, talc powder, face pack, coconut oil, Agarbathis (incense sticks) of a variety of fragrance etc. KSDL MD Harikumar Jha, DGM C.M. Suvarna Kumar and others were present.
The Soap Mela will be open between 10am and 9pm on all the days until Oct.2.
