Mysuru: Exhorting Congress activists to gear up for the forth coming Assembly polls, KPCC Poll Manifesto Committee President and former Chief Minister Veerappa Moily, who is also a Current Lok Sabha MP, has expressed the hope that the Congress would retain power in the State, despite campaigns launched by the opposition BJP.
Moily was addressing party leaders and workers from Mysuru division districts (Mysuru, Hassan, Mandya, Chamarajanagar & Kodagu) at Congress Bhavan close to the city Railway Station recently.
He said that the Congress had a big challenge ahead of it with Rahul Gandhi taking over as the AICC President recently,
Crediting Rahul Gandhi for the Congress performance in Gujarat, Moily maintained that the party was much stronger than the BJP in rural areas of Gujarat.
Moily stressed on the need of sensitising the public on the achievements of the Congress government.
Complimenting CM Siddharamaiah for working for the welfare of all sections of the society, he said that Congress workers should intensively campaign against the BJP.
