Mysuru: Taking into consideration the demands of a large number of people, especially workers from the unorganised sector, the South Western Railway (SWR) will introduce one more train from Mysuru to Hubballi via Bengaluru from May 13, 2017.
The new train will be called Hubballi-Mysuru Daily Express and will leave Mysuru at 6 am and reach Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Station in Bengaluru at 8.45 am.
The train will leave Bengaluru at 8.50 am to reach Tumakuru at 10.38 am and will reach Hubballi at 7 pm.
From the opposite direction, the other pair will leave Hubballi at 8.45 am, arrive in Tumakuru at 4.17 pm and leave Tumakuru at 4.45 pm to reach Bengaluru at 5.45 pm. The train will leave Bengaluru at 5.50 pm and reach Mysuru at 8.40 pm.
The new train will facilitate thousands of government employees and workers from unorganised sector from Mysuru to reach their work places on the Mysuru-Bengaluru route. The train is expected to ease pressure on Chamundi Express that leaves Mysuru at 6.45 am. This train will also help reduce traffic between Bidadi and Tumakuru.
Speaking to Star of Mysore this morning, Railway sources said that the train was a long-pending demand of garment, manufacturing and unorganised sector workers.
The train will have 18+2 Deen Dayalu coaches. The train will start from Ashokapuram Railway Station and will stop at Mysuru Railway Station before leaving for Bengaluru.
With the introduction of Hubballi-Mysuru Daily Express, a total of 25 pairs of trains will run between the two cities.
