Bengaluru: Reacting to the allegations of former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar (DKS) said, “I am not afraid of any tough talks and blackmailing tactics. I am ready to furnish all the details related to expenditure with documents.”
Speaking to media persons, he said, “Kumaraswamy has gone mad and has lost patience. He is speaking whatever comes out of his mouth under desperation. The people have already replied to whatever he has uttered.”
To the allegations related to Lulu Mall, Shivakumar said “The land on which the Mall has been built belongs to a subsidiary institute of Central Government. They had called for a tender and accordingly the land was purchased by my friends. I bought the land from them and built the Mall in a joint venture. If there is anything illegal, let them hang me. He (HDK) has made several such attempts to rein in me. His father too had made all efforts to keep me under check through an Officer by name Jairaj. Even now I am open for any probe.”
“Being in public life, I have disclosed details related to my assets at every occasion. He (HDK) has been speaking about illegal power consumption. The Mall which I have built was constructed by my partner Sobha Developers. I will seek details along with documents on the extent of power consumption,” said Shivakumar.
To a query on the controversial statement of Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, the KPCC Chief preferred to comment only after taking the details related to Khan’s statement.
