Over 120 students pedal for Fit India Abhiyan

Mysuru/Mysore: As part of Fit India Abhiyan, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), in association with the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) and NSS wing of University of Mysore (UoM), had organised a 5-km Cyclothon in city this morning.

Joint Director of NYK U.P. Singh flagged off the Cyclothon from Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad, in which about 120 students participated.

Cyclothon began at 9.15 am and cyclists traversed about 5-km through Harding Circle, K.R. Circle, Sayyaji Rao Road, Ayurveda College Circle, Irwin Road, Five Lights Circle, Government Guest House and back to Chamundi Vihar Stadium.

UoM Registrar Prof. R. Shivappa, Superintendent of Mysuru Central Prison Divyashree, National Adventure Foundation’s Captain Rukmini Chandran, Assistant Director K. Suresh, District Convenor of NYK S. Siddaramappa, Programme Coordinator of NSS Dr. B. Chandrashekhar, Credit-I Managing Trustee Dr. M.P. Varsha, A.C. Ravi of Mysuru Travels Association, HoD of Psychology in Maharani’s College Prof. Manonmani and others were present.
