Mysuru: The University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D in Economics to Puttaraju for his thesis ‘An Analysis of Nutritional Status of Women and Children in Rural Karnataka’ submitted under the guidance of Dr. H.R. Uma.

P. Mahesh Babu has been awarded Ph.D in Kannada by UoM for his thesis “M.P. Manjappa Shetty Avara Sahitya” submitted under the guidance of Dr. C.D. Parashuram.

UoM has awarded Ph.D in Zoology to G. Suchitra for her thesis “Effect of extract of Mucuna pruriens Seed and Glycyrrhiza glabra root on behaviour and fitness of Drosophila Melanogaster” submitted under the guidance of Dr. V. Shakunthala.

R. Sowmya has been awarded Ph.D in Political Science by UoM for her thesis “Samakalina Chinthanege Dr. Vandanashivaravara Koduge: Ondu Bahushasthriya Adhyayana” submitted under the guidance of Dr. Krishna Hombal.

M. B. Umesh has been awarded Ph.D in Library and Information Science by UoM for his thesis “Collection Development in Law College Libraries affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubli: A Study” submitted under the guidance of Dr. P. Sarasvathy.

K. Venkata Sairam has been awarded Ph.D in Pharmacy by the JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research for his thesis ‘Rational design and synthesis of novel coumarin derivatives and its nanoformulations for anticancer activity’ submitted under the guidance of Dr.B.M. Gurupadayya.
