Mysuru:- Saraswathipuram Police have arrested M.S. Mahadevaswamy, against whom a missing complaint had been filed by his brother S. Shivaprakash at the City Police Commissioner’s Office on Apr.10.
According to the complaint, Shivaprakash said that his brother Mahadevaswamy had lodged a complaint with the District Electoral Officer saying that Shailendra, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Palace Security, had violated the Election Model Code of Conduct.
Police Commissioner Dr. A. S. Rao told Star of Mysore here this morning that Mahadevaswamy, who had alleged violation of model code of conduct by ACP Shailendra, had been arrested and a case registered against him.
It is learnt that Mahadevaswamy revealed to the Police during interrogation that the complaint against the ACP was typed at the office of the Deputy Director, Mysore Palace Board.
Palace Board Deputy Director T.S. Subramanya was summoned by the Police yesterday in this regard, it is said. It may be recalled that Star of Mysore had published a report yesterday titled “Man goes missing after complaint against Cop.”
As we went to the press, it is learnt that the accused Mahadevaswamy will be produced before the Court later in the afternoon. It is said that a case has also been registered against the Palace Board Deputy Director under Sections 120 (B), 420 and various other sections of the IPC, based on the accused Mahadevaswamy’s statement to the Police.
