Mysuru: Pandit Indudhar Nirody of Agra Gharana fame will present a Hindustani music concert at the monthly moonlight music concert at Suttur Mutt in city at 6pm on Jan.10.
After having early music lessons from Pitre Ramarao, Nirody trained under noted musicians such as Gurudatt Heblekar, S.C.R. Bhat, Acharya K.G. Ginde, Dinakar Kaikini and Chidanand Nagarkar.
Pandit Indudhar Nirody, who served as a Visiting Professor at Karnataka University, Dharwad, and KSGH Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru, was conferred Honorary Doctorate by the Music University in recognition of his services to Music. He has won many accolades including Karnataka Nrutya and Music Academy Award, Karnataka State Sangeetha Vidwan Award and Kendra Sangeetha Natak Academy Award.
He will be accompanied by Pandit Veerabhadraiah Hiremath and Pandit B. Sreeram Bhat on harmonium and Pandit Ramesh Dhannur on tabla.
