Rangaswamy (73), a trader at Santhepet and a resident of Prashanth Nagar in Bogadi, passed away yesterday following brief illness.
He leaves behind one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill this morning, according to family sources.
