Mysuru: The grand finale of “Rotary Ivory Voice of Mysuru” was held recently at the Platinum Jubilee Auditorium in city. Six finalists each from school and college categories bagged the coveted awards.
The title in the schools category was won by B.R. Shreekar from DAV Public School. First and second runners up were Amulya Bhat of Amrita Vidyalaya and T.M. Vaishnavi of JSS Public School.
In the college category, the title was won by Sharadi Patil from Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University. First and second runners up were Hamsini S. Kumar of SDM College and M. Amulya from Mysore School of Architecture.
Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep was the chief guest. Avadhoota Simha Sri Vidyahamsa Bharati Maharaj of Mahakali Chakreshwari Peeta, Pandavapura, was the guest of honour. Judges for the event were eminent playback singers Ajay Warriar, Shashank Sheshagiri and Shubha Raghavendra.
Rotary Ivory City President B.G. Nagaraj and Assistant Governor Ravindra Bhat were present.
