Mysuru/Mysore: Demanding pension facility, staff of aided educational institutions will stage an indefinite stir at Freedom Park in Bengaluru from Jan.10.
Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, District President of Karnataka State Aided Educational Institutions Non-Pension Staff Association Sharath Kumar alleged that employees who joined service after 2006 and employees serving at institutions which became aided after they had joined service were deprived of pension facility.
Maintaining that non-pension staff had staged a demonstration in Oct., 2018, when B.S. Yediyurappa, who was then the Opposition Leader, had expressed support for their cause, he wondered why Yediyurappa, who is the Chief Minister now, is silent on the issue.
Urging the Government to fulfil their demand for pension facility before Jan.9, Sharath Kumar said that the Association will have no other option other than staging an indefinite stir at Bengaluru from Jan.10.
