Mysuru: The 2019 edition of the popular “Talents: Inter-School cultural competition” organised by Mysore Round Table-21 and Mysore Ladies Circle-9 will be held on Nov. 30 at Swami Vivekananda Hall of SBRR Mahajana PU College in Jayalakshmipuram.
The contest provides a platform for students to present their talent and interests on stage as well as exchange ideas with students from other participating schools.
The theme for the competition this year will be “Technology and Social Media: Finding the right balance. ” All acts and performances will be based on the overwhelming influence that technology and social media have on both adults and children today and how we need to balance both the positive and negative aspects of social media and technology.
Talents-2019 competition is an opportunity for teachers and students to interact and work together to create awareness about the benefits of technology and social media as well as the detrimental aspects of the same and the need in finding the right balance.
The competition is open to students from 5th to 10th standards. Each team should have a minimum of 8 students and a maximum of 20 students per school.
The competition categories include Song, Dance, Skit, Musical Instrument, Debate and Essay writing. Scholarships worth Rs. 1 lakh will be given to the winning schools and students. For details, the schools can call Mob: 99003-59172 or 99806-16521.
