Mysuru: Sri Vyasatirtha Vidyapeetha’s Vidyarthi Parishad, Sosale Sri Vyasatirtha Mahasamsthan Mutt in the city has organised two-day Vishwa Pavana Youth Seminar on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at the Vidyapeetha premises in Krishnamurthypuram here.
Vice-Chancellor of National Sanskrit University, Tirupati G.S.R. Krishnamurthy will be inaugurating the seminar on Nov. 30 at 9.30 am. The office-bearers of Vidyarthi Parishad D. Vishwagna and D.K. Srihari will be participating in the seminar. Principal of Vidyapeetha Sughosh Acharya will deliver the introductory address, followed by the first session that will be chaired by G.S.R. Krishnamurthy. The students of Vidyapeetha will be presenting their views on Alankara Shastra.
Noted scholar Dr. Veeranarayana Pandurangi will preside over the second session at 2.30 pm. The students of Poornaprajna Vidyapeetha, Bengaluru will be presenting their views on ‘Meemamse’; students of Sri Trayee Vidya Gurukulam, Srirarangam on vedas and students of Atmashrama Vidyapeeth, Bengaluru on ‘Samskrita Shastra Patane-Naveenopaya’.
The young scholars of Sri Guru Sarvabhouma Vidyapeeth, Mantralaya will present their views on ‘Dharmashastra Grahana’ and the students of S.M.S.P. Sanskrit College, Udupi on ‘Jyothishya Shastra- Prashne Shastra Sutraanam Mahatwam’.
Veteran scholar Prof. K.E. Devanathan and Vidwan Haridas Bhat will preside over the third session on Dec. 1 at 10 am. The students of Nija Kamadhenu Gurukula, Bengaluru will present their views on ‘Nyaya Shastra’, students of Jayateertha Vidyapeeth, Bengaluru on ‘Vyakarana Shastra’ and the students of Bhavi Sameera Gurukula, Sonda (Sondhe) near Sirsi on ‘Vedantha Vyapti’.
The valedictory of the seminar will be held on Dec. 1 at 2.30 pm. Sosale Mutt Seer Sri Vidyasreesha Theertha Swamiji will grace the ceremony. Veteran scholars B.S. Sheshagiri Acharya, Dr. C.H. Sreenivas Murthy Acharya, Vidwan Haridas Bhat and Prof. K.E. Devanathan will be the chief guests.
Arjun Simha and M. Gopal, the office-bearers of Sri Vyasatirtha Vidyapeetha’s Vidyarthi Parishad will be present.
