In view of Vairamudi Utsav of Sri Cheluvanarayana Swamy to be held at Melukote on Apr. 5, MLA K.S. Puttannaiah and MP C.S. Puttaraju have urged the District Administration to start the preparations for this year’s annual event as early as possible.
Speaking at a meeting held at Sanskrit Research Institute here recently, K.S. Puttannaiah instructed the officials to celebrate the festival in a grand manner compared to previous years.
The officials were also instructed to provide sufficient drinking water, electricity, medical facilities and security during the festival. He also urged the officials to construct temporary toilets and take utmost care to keep the temple town clean.
Mandya DC Ziaullah, ADC Poornima, Vid. Anandalwar, Melukote Village Panchayat President Narayana Bhat, Pandavapura AC Yashoda, Tahsildar Hanumantharayappa, Temple EO Kumaraswamy were present.
