102-year-old woman takes out padayatra to M.M. Hills temple

Chamarajanagar: A 102-year-old woman has drawn public attention by taking out a padayatra to M.M. Hills in the district at such a ripe old age.

Parvathamma, a native of Tiptur taluk in Tumakuru district is the woman who has covered a distance of 18 kms by foot. Notably, she has been doing it for the past 4 to 5 years. Her feat  caught public attention when a devotee video-recorded her padayatra, which has gone viral in social media. Explaining the reason behind her yatra, she said she has been praying Lord Malai Mahadeshwara for the well being of the country, farmers and also for copious rains.

When asked who she wants to see as the Prime Minister, Parvathamma said Modi as the PM will do good for the country.
