1,057 people vaccinated at free vaccination drive

Mysore/Mysuru: A total of 1,057 persons were vaccinated during the free vaccination drive organised by The Mysore Beedi Mazdoor Association and the Management of Central Hospital for Beedi Workers at Farooqia Girls High School at Azeez Sait Nagar here yesterday.

Association Secretary K.C. Shoukath Pasha, speaking to SOM said that the drive received an overwhelming response from people, especially beedi workers and BPL card holders, who took the vaccination without any fear.

Continuing, he said that awareness about the myths on the side effects of the vaccine was also created, which enabled more people to take the vaccination.

Shoukath thanked the District Administration, MLA Tanveer Sait, District Health Officer Dr. K.H. Prasad and the team of doctors and medical staff for making the drive a success and added that the vaccination drive will continue at Central Hospital for Beedi Workers at Kalyanagiri from today.
