Yashas Chandra of Mysuru emerged third in the recently held 115th Malaysian Amateur Golf Championships 2017 at Nexus Golf Resort, Karambunai, Malaysia.
Sadom Kaewkanjana (Thailand) won the title in a play-off after being tied with fellow-countryman Witchayanon with a four-day score of 280. Yashas Chandra secured the second-runner-up sport with a four-day aggregate score of 285 (71+70+77+67).
In the team event, India finished fourth with Yashas Chandra and Sunit Chowrasia returning with a four-day aggregate score of 300 (77+71+82+70). Thailand, Singapore and Taiwan secured the first three places.
