Mysuru’s Grand Master (GM) and top-seed M.S. Thejkumar tied with three-other players, N. Lokesh (TN), P. Phoobalan (ICF) and K. Gunasekaran (ICF) with 8.5 points from ten rounds, but his superlative tie-break score compared to the others enabled him to clinch the title in the 13th BRDCA (Bangalore Rural District Chess Association) International Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2019 which concluded in Bengaluru yesterday.
In the final round, GM M.S.Thejkumar playing with black pieces beat Tamil Nadu’s N. Lokesh to clinch the title.
