Mysuru: In a tragic incident, two persons were killed and four others sustained serious injuries when the bikes on which they were travelling collided head-on opposite Venkateshwara Poultry on Hebbal Fire Brigade Road on Tuesday night.
While the deceased have been identified as Girish (19), a resident of Kumbarakoppal and Babu (55), a resident of Mogarahallimanti in Srirangapatna taluk, the seriously injured have been identified as 19-year-old Prakash and 18-year-old Sharath Kumar of Manchegowdanakoppal in city, 40-year-old Mahadeva and 45-year-old Venu of Mogarahallimanti in Srirangapatna taluk.
It is reported that Girish, along with Prakash and Sharath Kumar, employees of a factory in Hebbal Industrial Area, after finishing their work, were heading to their homes on a bike (KA-09 HD-0658) when another bike (KA-11 S-7966) on which Babu, Mahadeva and Venu were travelling, rammed into Girish’s bike, resulting in Girish and Babu being killed on the spot and leaving the pillion riders seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to K.R. Hospital. V.V. Puram Traffic Police have registered a case.
