3000 students, teachers expected to participate
Mysuru: A 3-day State-level Prathiba Karanji and Kalotsava for 8th std. to II PU students will be held from Dec. 15 to 17 at Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) campus in city.
Chairing the preliminary meeting to discuss the preparations at the Office of Deputy Commissioner recently, Additional Deputy Commissioner T.Yogesh directed the Public Instruction and other Department officials to make all necessary boarding and lodging arrangements for the participating students without giving room for any complaints.
Nodal Officer for State-level Prathiba Karanji D. Udaykumar said that about 3,000 persons including 2,250 students from 34 Educational Districts of the State are likely to participate.
In all, 11 competitions will be conducted for class 8 to 10 students, while four for 9th to PU. Separate accommodation will be made for boys and girls.
The winners of this competition will represent the State at National competition to be held at Bhopal. The mega event is being hosted at an estimated cost of Rs. 75 lakh. DDPI Mamatha and other Department officials were present.
