Top-seed K.R. Sara of Mysuru, representing Karnataka in the 32nd National U-7 Girls Chess Championship-2018 at Tumakuru, on Sunday scored a creditable win over Andhra Pradesh’s Gulshan Sharanya Potluri in the ninth round and after nine rounds, has secured 7.5 points and is placed fourth in the rankings.
After nine rounds, three players A. Anjana (TN), K.A. Meenakshi (AP) and Lakshana Subramanian (TN) share the lead with eight points each.
Mysuru girl Sara is in the fourth place with 7.5 points, followed by UP’s Aishani Pathak with 7 points in the fifth place.
