Mysuru: Carrying on with the tradition, Chamundeshwari Seva Samithi is almost through with the preparation of 35,000 ladoos at Nityananda Kalyana Mantapa in J.P. Nagar here, which will be distributed to the devotees on the first Ashada Friday tomorrow at Dasoha Bhavan atop Chamundi Hill.
The Samithi has been taking up the special floral decoration for the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari at the hill temple for the last 28 years, Anna Dhaana for 13 years and Prasada distribution for 16 years.
About 30 cooks are engaged to prepare 35,000 ladoos at a cost of Rs. 2 lakh.
The ingredients used to prepare the ladoos are Gram Floor – 450 kg, Cashew – 60 kg, Almond – 10 kg, Pista – 10 kg, Nandini Ghee – 3 tins, Edible Oil – 25 tins, Powdered Sugar – 50 kg, Regular Sugar – 750 kg, Dates – 25 kg, Clove – 4 kg, Cardamon – 3 kg and Raisin – 25 kg, according to Samithi members.
