Vidhatri Urs settles for bronze
M.S. Yashas Chandra of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (jwgc), Mysuru, came up with a gritty 2 under par final round to win the gold medal in the Individual Men’s Golf at the 37th National Games held at the Delhi Golf Club on Thursday.
Mysuru’s professional golfer finished with a score of 15 under par after 4 rounds.
Yashas played solid golf right through 4 days to win over silver medallist Om Prakash Chouhan (Madhya Pradesh).
Speaking to Star of Mysore, the ecstatic 28-year-old said ‘it feels amazing to win gold. My first win after I turned pro, and it has been a long time coming.’
Vidhatri Urs, also of jwgc, mysuru, won Bronze Medal in Women’s Team Event. She partnered with Saanvi Somu of Bengaluru.
