Mysore/Mysuru: As many as 39 artworks from 13 sections (8 in Professional category and 5 in Amateur category) have been selected for the 5-day National-level Dasara Artworks Expo to be held at Chamarajendra Government College of Visual Arts (CAVA) premises in Siddarthanagar of the city from Sept. 26 to 30.
The CAVA had received more than 500 art works as part of the show, the winners of which were selected by senior artists from across the State.
The artists of prize winning art works in the professional category are as follows:
Traditional Painting: First Prize – Brinda of Bengaluru (Yashoda Krishna), Second Prize – B. Roopa of Bengaluru (Rajarajeshwari), Third Prize – R. Keerthi of Mysuru (Shiva).
Traditional sculpture: First Prize – S. Prakash of Mysuru (Gandabherunda), Second Prize – Purushottam of Shivamogga (Stone sculpture), Third Prize – S. Mahesh of Mysuru (Vinayaka).
Handicraft arts/Inlay works: First Prize – R. Mohan of Mysuru (Wood Inlay), Second Prize – S. Harshith of Bengaluru (Kinnala Inlay), Third Prize – Hanumanthappa Kammar of Bengaluru (Bottle Art).
Painting: First Prize – B.H. Lokesh of Bengaluru (Payana), Second Prize – H. Shivakumar of Mysuru (Koneya Snana – The last bath), Third Prize – M.L. Pavankumar of K.R.Nagar (Threads of Life and Death).
Sculpture: First Prize – Dheeraj Puthran of Mangaluru (Lokarpane), Second Prize – Genius Chakma of Bengaluru (Unveiling silence), Third Prize – Chetankumar Hallihole of Kundapura (Blossom).
Photography: First Prize – M.S. Basavanna of Mysuru (Tiger attack on wild Bear), Second Prize – Indrakumar B. Dasanavar of Bagalkot (Drought), Third Prize – Manoj Sunagar of Haveri (Hori Habba).
Applied Arts: First Prize – K.C. Ankitchandra of Sullia (Protect the Wings), Second Prize – Satvik R. Bharadwaj of Mysuru (Fun-tastic), Third Prize – N. Nagabushan of Davanagere (Stop Child Labour).
Graphics/ Printed Arts: First Prize – T.A. Tulasi of Bengaluru (Cut of Inheritance), Second Prize – Kavya Gaddi of Kalaburagi (On The Way), Third Prize – G.M. Muthuraj of Chitradurga (Dreams Beyond Currency).
