Mysuru: The Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) will release the provisional list of beneficiaries of the layouts that have been formed at Lalithadripura Second Stage. The list will be released on Dec.18 and there are over 531 sites.
According to MUDA officials, more than 39,000 people have applied for the sites and among them, over 19,000 people have applied more than once. 20,000 are first-time applicants. Over 60,000 people had taken the application forms by paying a fee of Rs.100 each when the applications were sold through various branches of Vijaya Bank.
As the sites have to be distributed as per seniority order, MUDA officials personally visited the houses of the applicants to ascertain if they were living in their own house or in rented accommodation. Officials said that the details of the applicants have been meticulously collected along with the statements of their neighbours.
All the data entry works have been completed regarding the site allotment and approval will be taken at the MUDA meeting that will be held on Dec.15. If there are any objections, people will have 15 days to submit the same and the final beneficiaries list will be released after 15 days, officials said.
The Dec.15 meeting will be presided over by MUDA Chairman D. Dhruvakumar. At the meeting, several issues including Lalithadripura layouts, registration of contract agreement for R.T. Nagar site beneficiaries will be discussed.
