4-day ‘Vaggeya Vaibhava’ at Ganabharathi from June 27

Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi, in association with Mysore Sangeetha Sabhegala Okkuta, is celebrating ‘Karnataka Vaggeya Vaibhava’ from June 27 to 30, comprising 10 Vaggeyakararu (composers) of yesteryears, at Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar.

June 27 – 6 pm: Compositions of Vid. Swaramurthy V.N. Rao by Vid. Manasa Nayana (vocal); 7.15 pm: Compositions of Vid. Ralapally Anantha Krishna Sharma by Vid. Bellary M. Raghavendra.

June 28 – 6 pm: Compositions of Vid. Prof. R. Visweswaran by Vid. N.R. Prashanth (vocal); 7.15 pm: Compositions of Vid. Bellary Sheshagiri Achar by Vidu. Harshita.

June 29 – 6 pm: Compositions of Vid. C. Rangaiah by students of Vidu. Sukanya Prabhakar; 7.15 pm – Compositions of Vid. Chikkaramarayaru by students of Vidu. Padma Gurudatta.

June 30 – 9 am: Compositions of Vid. Bidaram Krishnappa by students of Vid. S. Shankar; 10.40 am: Compositions of Veena Padmanabharayaru by Vid. Srikantam Nagendra Shastry (vocal); 11.50 am: Compositions of Vid. H. Yoganarasimham by Vid. Vivek Sadashivam (vocal); 1 pm: Valedictory function – Dharanidevi Malagatti, Director, Dept. of Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru, will be the chief guest.
