The Indian ladies golf tea, taking part in the 40th edition of the Queen Sirkit Cup Asia Pacific Amateur Ladies Golf Championship held at City Country Club, Thailand, from May 9 to 11, finished sixth in the team event.
Korea won the title and were followed by Thailand, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia and India who took the places from second to sixth respectively.
In the Individual event, Thailand’s Atthaya Thitikul with a three-day aggregate card of 203 (71+65+67) won the title. Yuna Nishumura (Japan) with a three-day card of 206 (67+69+70) finished second. Yuka Saso with a aggregate score of 207 (69+66+72) secured the third place and was followed by Yunji Jeong who had a aggregate score of 209 (69+70+70) and finished fourth. A-yean Cho with a three-day aggregate card of 212 (73+71+68) finished fifth while India’s Diksha Dagar with a card of 212 (68+75+69) finished sixth. Mysuru’s talented lady golfer Pranavi S. Urs, representing India, fared well with a three-day aggregate score of 227 (74+81+72) and gained valuable exposure.
