Mysuru girl M.V. Spoorthy finished runner-up in the youth girls singles event in the 49th Canara Union State Ranking Table Tennis tournament held at Bengaluru yesterday.
In the final, V. Kushi beat M.V. Spoorthy 11-2, 9-11, 11-5, 9-11, 11-8, 11-9 and clinched the Youth girls singles title. In the semi-finals Spoorthy had scored a good win over K. Patankar 11-8, 12-10, 7-11, 11-6, 2-11, 9-11, 11-9. In the women’s singles, Spoorthy lost in the semi-finals.
