Ganabharathi in coordination with the Federation of Music Sabhas of Mysuru is felicitating noted violinist Vid. Mysore M. Nagaraj on the occasion of 50 years of his service to the field of music at a function to be held in city on Aug. 11.
Having started his career at the tender age of 8, he has made Mysuru popular over the globe. He has performed as a solo artiste, as an accompanying artiste to stalwarts, as a most sought-after artiste for the jugalbandhis and also performed hundreds of violin duet concerts with his brother Vid. Mysore M. Manjunath at some of the topmost venues in over 30 countries.
On this proud moment, Federation of various Music Sabhas of Mysuru which includes Ganabharathi, Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, Krishna Gana Sabha, N.R. Mohalla Sangeetha Sabha, Swara Sankula, Raaga Music Academy, Nrityagiri, JSS Sangeetha Sabha, Vasundhara Performing Arts Centre, Samskara Bharathi Mysore, Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha, BhramaraTrust, Bhasange Balaga, Devagitam Charitable Trust, Surabhi Ganakala Mandia, Raaga Vaibhava and Laya Vidya Prathistana join hands to felicitate Vid. Mysore M. Nagaraj on Aug. 11 at 6 pm at Ramabai Govindarao Hall, Ganabharathi premises in Kuvempunagar.
Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Art Patron K.V. Murthy and renowned vocalist Vid.R.K. Padmanabha will be the chief guests. Noted Surgeon and President of Ganabharathi Dr.C. G. Narasimhan will preside.
This will be followed by a violin duet concert by Vid. Mysore M. Nagaraj and Mysore M. Manjunath. They will be accompanied by Vid. Arjun Kumar, Vid. Tumakur B. Ravishankar on mridanga and Vid. Giridhara Udupa on ghata. All the connoisseurs are welcome. — A. Radhesh
