Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Factories Boilers Industrial Safety and Health has organised 52nd National Safety Day celebrations in city tomorrow (Mar. 6) with the theme ‘Our Aim – Zero Harm.’
In order to create safety awareness among public, a safety march will be taken out from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple near Palace North Gate to Kalamandira on Hunsur Road.
The safety march, which will be flagged off by City Police Commissioner B. Ramesh at 8 am, will pass through prominent circles before reaching Kalamandira on Hunsur Road where a stage programme will be held.
Department of Factories Boilers Industrial Safety and Health Director K. Srinivas will hoist the safety flag at 9 am in Kalamandira premises. An expo of safety equipment used during building construction, factories and mining will be inaugurated by A.J. Stationery Private Limited Director Shashi Ranjan at 9.15 am.
A public meeting will be held inaugurated by DC Dr. K.V. Rajendra at 10 am. Meritor President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) N. Muthukumar will preside. AT&S Managing Director and COO Santosh Gundapi, All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) President H.R. Shehsadri and Shashi Ranjan will be the guests of honour.
