58th National Open Athletic Championship: City’s Reena George wins bronze

Mysuru’s athlete Reena George, representing Karnataka in 58th National Open Athletic Championships at Bhubaneshwar, won the bronze medal in women’s 100m event on Thursday.

Chandralekha of Tamil Nadu won the gold in 100m to emerge as the fastest women in the meet with a timing of 11.47s.

Archana of Tamil Nadu came in second with a timing of 11.71s while Reena took third place with a timing of 11.75s.

In men’s section, Sanjeet  of Services emerged as the fastest man by winning the gold in 100m with a timing of 10.39s. B. Shivkumar of Railways with a timing of 10.53s won silver and city’s Vidya Sagar representing Services won bronze with a timing of 10.54s.
