Mysuru: This is the world environment month and in order to spread awareness about environment and wildlife, a 60-day Wildlife Model Expo, ‘Mysuru Utsava 2018,’ organised by Fun World and Resorts (India) Private Limited, began from yesterday at the Dasara Exhibition Grounds.
The exhibition will be open from 3 pm to 10 pm and the entrance ticket is Rs.50. The expo will end on Aug.12.
The main attractions are the technically designed robotic animals on display. The sounds and the movements of the animals will really thrill the children and make it an experience which they will cherish. The elephant nodding its head and trumpeting, gorilla winking, dog barking, hippopotamus looking solid, rhinoceros charging, lion, bear, crocodile and the snake slithering with hissing noise, are all a part of the exhibits that is sure to attract people of all ages.
The world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa in Dubai is another attraction, apart from the 3-D gallery, where one can see late President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam presenting a potted plant or a tiger jumping out of the frame and Mother Teresa blessing.
There are also stalls exhibiting toys, handicrafts, handlooms and food court for the taste buds.
Tourism Minister S.R. Mahesh inaugurated the Mysuru Utsava. Later, speaking he said that in order to attract more tourists there are plans to hold the exhibition not only during Dasara, but throughout the year. Suttur Srikshetra, Adichunchanagiri Srikshetra and the famous Silk Factory will all be a part of the tourism circuit, he added.
Fun World and Resorts (India) Private Limited Managing Director Vinod Kumar Sabharwal, Karnataka Exhibition Authority Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shashikumar, Mayor Bhagyavathi, former Deputy Mayor Vanitha Prasanna, Corporator M.V. Ramprasad, Muthuraj, Mallikarjun and others were present.
