Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Judith Angelitta Noronha, Dean, Manipal College of Nursing, said: “Learning should be a continuous process as knowledge boosts self-confidence.”
She was speaking during the Graduation Ceremony-2024 organised by JSS College of Nursing at Dr. Sri Rajendra Centenary Auditorium, JSS Hospital, M.G. Road in city on Friday.
Students of B.Sc Nursing (Basic), 23rd batch, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing 18th batch and M.Sc Nursing 17th batch received various degrees at the ceremony.
“The learning will not end with the degree, as there are plenty of opportunities to learn new things in life. Apart from boosting confidence in yourself, the knowledge acquired will also come in handy in reaching the goal. The wealth of knowledge will never go waste. Derive inspiration from achievers and tread the same path. Apart from reaching the goal, develop a mindset to be helpful to the society,” advised Dr. Angelitta.
The health-related courses are naturally based on Science, except for Nursing course, which is more of humanitarian concern. Even though patients are treated, the humanitarian touch remains. Hence the field of Nursing assumes significance, she described.
A total of 73 students received various degrees at the ceremony. JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath & Medical Education Division Director R. Mahesh and College Principal M.K. Aswathy Devi were present.
