Mysuru: Believe it or not, there are 7,633 vehicles, mostly two-wheelers, which are having 20 cases each pending against them. There are also vehicles which are having pending cases ranging between 5 and 30 as well for various traffic violations.
This apart, the City Traffic Police have also issued notice to Chamarajanagar Bus Depot Manager asking him to pay the fine amount of Rs. 9,300 as a bus bearing number KA-10 F-0198 involved in 31 cases of over-speeding and other violations.
Mysuru City has been equipped with 44 CCTV cameras at various junctions to keep an eye on traffic violators and other offenders. On noticing any violation, the Traffic Management Centre, located at the City Police Commissioner’s office, sends the notices directly to the vehicle owners. The city Police have urged people to follow the traffic rules and regulations to avoid being penalised.
