Mysuru girl Prasiddhi Bhat, representing Karnataka in the 7th National School Chess Championships-2018 in the girls U-13 category, has secured four points from six rounds and is placed sixth in the rankings yesterday.
In the girls U-9 section, Mandya’s WCM A.N. Shefali is placed fourth with 4.5 points from six rounds. Shefali had wins over Divyanshi Sharad Singhal (Guj), G. Srishanthi (Tel), Palak Mohapatra (Odisha), P. Indira (TN) and drew with Vaishnavi S. Rao (Kar). Shefali lost her sixth round game to Trisha Jagtap (Mah).
After the end of six rounds, Suhaani Lohia (Mah) is in the lead with 5.5 points, in the girls U-9 section. She is followed by Trisha Jagtap (Mah) and Indira S. Priyadarshini (TN).
