Mysuru’s upcoming golfers I.L. Aalaap and Pranavi S. Urs representing India in the 83rd Singha International Amateur Golf Championship 2017 held at Panya International Golf Course located at Bangkok in Thailand recently fared well in the men’s and women’s sections respectively.
I.L. Aalaap finished 10th in the men’s section with a four-day aggregate score of 285 (73+71+69+72). Witchayanon. C of Thailand won the title with a four-day score of 268 (67+67+66+68). Jebbe Yap of Singapore finished runner-up with a four-day score of 269 (71+64+67+67). Thailand’s Kritchayapol Sinchai emerged third place with a four-day aggregate score of 278 (70+67+70+71).
In the women’s section, Mysuru’s Pranavi S. Urs secured the 10th place. Pranavi returned with a four-day card of 290 (74+72+70+74). Thailand’s Kulditia. P won the title with a four-day score of 280 (74+72+66+68). Tadlao (Thailand) secured the second place with a four-day card of 282 (73+69+70+70). Kan Bunnabooee also of Thailand secured the third place with a four-day score of 284 (68+70+77+69). A total of 72 golfers in men’s section and 54 golfers in women’s section from 16 countries took part in the tournament.
