Accusing the Siddharamaiah led Congress Government of misusing power and looting public money, former Chief Minister and State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa (BSY) has predicted that the Siddharamaiah Government would fall in 6 months.
Speaking at an election rally at Kabballi village in the taluk yesterday, Yeddyurappa said Siddharamaiah was behaving in an audacious manner and the people of the State were upset with his wayward governance.
Asserting that the BJP would come to power in the next Assembly Polls, BSY said that he would fight against the implementation of Kasturi Rangan report, which is detrimental to farmers in the fringes of forests.
Promising that he would strive for filling up major water bodies in the taluk, he called upon the electorate to vote for Gundlupet BJP candidate Niranjan Kumar.
Lashing out at the Congress for insulting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, he said that the Congress had no moral right to seek the votes of dalits.
Ridiculing Siddharamaiah for his remark that the Congress will retain power in the State, Yeddyurappa said that the Congress Government had not come to the rescue of farming community which is reeling under drought and crop loss. Stating that the Congress Government had done little for Gundlupet Constituency, Yeddyurappa reiterated his appeal to the electorate to ensure the victory of Niranjan Kumar.
BJP candidate C.S. Niranjan Kumar, former Minister and MLA C.T. Ravi, District BJP President Prof. K.R. Mallikarjunappa were present.
