A fitting eulogy to Khichdi and Pongal

Sir,

I thank SOM for the fitting eulogy (tribute) to Khichdi followed by salted Pongal, apart from sweet Pongal (Conquest by Khichdi in Star of Mysore dated Dec.23) which incidentally coincided with the present Tamil Month of Maargazhi (Maargasiramaasa in Kannada) known for such delectable early morning dish preparation of Pongal with a dash of whole pepper, salt and ghee, intended for Naivedhyam to the Lord in Srivaishnava temples all over South India and given to the devotees.

The Khichdi will not lag behind with its varied tastes as stated, in our country and such types of cornucopia of palate pleasing dishes abound for the connoisseurs of food globally and that chitranna along with K&P will definitely fly all over the globe in the foreseeable future as stated therein may stir the memories of senior citizens who tasted pongal prasadam in the precincts of temples of yesteryears.
