Vanity bag with jewels, cash worth lakhs of rupees returned to Shivamogga tourist
Srirangapatna: In a good Samaritan act, two Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF) personnel have returned a vanity bag of a tourist, who had left behind the bag, at Brindavan Gardens attached to Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) dam in the taluk.
A tourist, hailing from Shivamogga, had forgotten to collect the vanity bag containing jewellery and cash valued at several lakhs of rupees, after hanging the bag to the grill, to take a selfie in front of the garden. The KSISF Head Constables Madappa and Harish, who were on duty at the main gate of the garden, noticed the bag and had kept it with them safely.
The tourist had travelled 15 kms away till Hootagalli on the outskirts of Mysuru city, when she was reminded of her vanity bag. She returned to the garden only to receive the vanity bag intact, much to her joy.
The service minded Police personnel were lauded for their display of honesty.
Dy.SP of KSISF Pramod Kumar and Inspectors Prathap and Shashikala have appreciated the Police duo for their noble act.
