A shopping mall has more security than Parliament House: KPCC

Bengaluru: Reacting to the security breach at the Parliament House yesterday, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has condemned the incident and called it as a glaring example of Central Government’s total failure to protect the country.

KPCC on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) has launched a scathing attack on BJP-led Central Government, reminding the attack on Parliament on the same day (Dec. 13) in 2001, when BJP was in power. Now, the attack has been carried out inside the Parliament which shows the Centre has failed to protect the MPs.

When Khalistani terrorists had issued a warning to carry out blasts at the Parliament by Dec. 13, why the security parameters at Parliament was neglected? Can anybody barge into the Parliament House built at a whopping cost of Rs. 20 lakh crore?

When shopping malls boast of better security measures, it is a tragedy that the Parliament House lacks adequate security, rued KPCC.

How the BJP leaders would have reacted, if the passes were issued to suspects by Congress MPs? Why the BJP leaders are silent now, as if nothing has happened? Why are the BJP leaders tight-lipped over security lapse? asked KPCC.

The suspects got passes from Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simmha’s Office. Do they belong to his (Simmha) inner circle? Was Simmha also a part of the conspiracy? Why Pratap Simmha hasn’t been taken into custody to probe into all these angles?

It is a tragedy that MP Simmha, who always keeps harping on, is also a part of the plot and the Lok Sabha Speaker should sack him as an MP and order for a probe, demanded the KPCC on ‘X’.
