A tall spiritual philosopher

Sir,

We have lost a tall spiritual senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order in the passing away of Rev. Swami Jagadatmanandaji.

He was an avid reader, a keen observer and an eloquent speaker who held the audience spell-bound whenever he chaired a discourse assembly. His tongue-in-cheek statements made his talks very interesting and humorous.

My family and me were closely associated with the Swamiji as we conduct a session for children at the yearly summer camp at Ponnampet Sharada Ashrama where Jagadatmanandaji resided. His books, especially the English version, in two volumes, Learn to Live, is a pep talk to the youth, to arise, awake and reach your goal.

In spite of his illness, he was always cheerful, eager to know the activities being conducted, walking erect with no help around the campus.

In the last camp held in April this year, he drew a picture on the board for the children to understand better, which is attached with this letter for all the readers to behold. We will miss you dearly, Swamiji. Mysuru devotees are indeed honoured to be blessed with your memories.
