A wake up call to Traffic Police in Mysuru

Sir,

According to a report published in a section of the media, nearly 75 percent of all victims who died in Bengaluru in two-wheeler  accidents in 2022 were wearing helmets. This is extremely disturbing news.

It is stated that a total of 543 people died in 772 road accidents due to head injuries in 2022. Of them, 431 were two- wheeler drivers and 319 victims were  wearing helmets.

It only means that they were wearing non-standard helmets or careless in tying it properly.

Bengaluru has a whopping 9.4 million vehicles. This is a lesson for Traffic Police in Mysuru to exercise strict check of two-wheeler riders to prevent Mysuru going the Bengaluru way.
