Mysuru: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in co-ordination with the Department of Posts have provisioned for Aadhaar Updation Service at select Post Offices.
The service was inaugurated by D. Shivaiah, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices (SSPOs), Mysuru Division at Yadavagiri Sub-Post Office and Mysuru Head Post Office on July 5.
The service is made available at the following identified Post Offices in Mysuru Postal Division:
Mysuru HO, Saraswathipuram HO, Lakshmipuram SO, Ittigegud SO, Manasagangothri SO, Metagalli SO , Udayagiri SO, V V Mohalla SO, Yadavagiri SO, Hunsur SO, H.D. Kote SO, K. R. Nagar SO, Periyapatna SO and Kuvempunagar SO.
At present, the Post Offices will update the demographic data of Aadhaar only. The residents, who need to update demographic data in Aadhaar card such as name, address, date of birth, age, gender, mobile number, email address and relationship status may visit any of the identified Post Offices with supporting documents.
The facility will be beneficial to public at large, according to a press release from the Office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Mysuru Division.
