Mysuru: Six journalists were presented with ‘Abhyudaya Pathrakarta’ award during the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Mysuru District Journalists Abhyudaya Co-operative Society held at Pathrakartara Bhavan here on Sunday.
Karnataka State Government Employees Association former President H.K. Ramu conferred the awards on journalists Hullahalli Mohan (Siri Channel, Nanjangud), Dasegowda (Kannada Prabha, H.D. Kote), Akram Pasha (Vijayavani, T. Narasipur), P.P. Mahadevu (Nijadani, Periyapatna), Cheluvaraju (Andolana, Hunsur) and R. Suvarna (Nagara Belaku, Mysuru).
Speaking after inaugurating the awards presentation function, Mysuru Milk Union Limited (MyMUL) President P.M. Prasanna said that the society was seeing development as Co-operative Societies were doing good works in managing finance and organisational works.
Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) President S.T. Ravikumar (RK), who too spoke, said that Abhyudaya Co-op Society has been helping journalists and added that a Civic Amenities (CA) site has been sanctioned for MDJA for which help from Abhyudaya Co-op. Society will be sought.
The calendar for the year 2022 was released by K. Manjunath of Arthshastra Builders and Developers-Mysuru on the occasion.
Mysuru District Journalists Abhyudaya Co-operative Society President K. Deepak, MDJA General Secretary M. Subramanya, Abhyudaya Co-operative Society Director Pragathi Gopalakrishna, Hanagod Nataraj, M.N. Kiran, Mahesh and others were present.
