Mysore/Mysuru: Vijayanagar Police have arrested a burglar who failed to attend Court hearings and had gone absconding. He was to attend the Court in house burglary cases committed in Mysuru, Mandya and Hassan districts.
The arrested is Jamal, a resident of Koppa in Periyapatna taluk. The accused had committed three house burglaries in the district including Mysuru’s Vijayanagar Police limits, two in Mandya district and one in Hassan district.
Though the Court had issued warrant against him, the accused had failed to attend the Court and had gone absconding since four to five years.
Following the issuance of the warrant, Vijayanagar Sub-Inspector K. Vishwanath and staff, following a tip off from informants,arrested Jamal on Jan. 22 and produced him before the City’s 5th JMFC Court.
DCP (Crime and Traffic) S. Jahnavi and Vijayanagar Sub-Division ACP G.S. Gajendraprasad guided Vijayanagar Inspector S.D. Sureshkumar and staff Umesh, M.J. Shankar, B. Swamaradhya, Tilak Kumar, Pradeep Kumar, J. Chandra, K.N. Manjunath, Sanjay and others in the nabbing operation.
